astonishing gang rape was unbelievably recorded on a cell phone while hundreds of people watched and did nothing.
Now Troy University students, Delonte Martistee, 22 (pictured above, right), and Ryan Calhoun, 23 (pictured above, left) and George Kennedy, a student at Middle Tennessee State University, have been arrested and charged with sex!ual battery by multiple perpetrators.
The whole thing transpired in the early days of March,
prime Spring Break time, when hundreds gathered in Panama City, Florida to get their party on. In an age when campus ra!pe is a prominent issue, this does not appear to have changed the behavior of many of the country’s college students. Surprisingly, this attack wasn’t even reported to police. It was discovered when they found the video of the crime on the phone of someone they were investigating for an unrelated shooting.
Martistee and Calhoun are students at Troy University in Alabama.
Both have been suspended pending the outcome of the legal proceedings. Martistee was also a member of the university’s track and field team, but has been removed in light of the charges. The investigation into the assault is ongoing, and police expect more arrests. Martistee and Calhoun had their bond set at $50,000 in a weekend hearing, and Calhoun was released on bond on Saturday.
